Parks, A. (2005). Capote in Kansas. Portland, Oregon: Oni Press, Inc. Illustrated by Chris Samnee. ISBN:  1-932664-29-7.

This graphic novel recreates a fictional story about Truman Capote’s experiences in writing In Cold Blood.  Unable to fit in to the Midwestern lifestyle, coupled with the town’s suspiciousness of Capote, he is determined to stay in Kansas while fighting his demons of alcoholism and loneliness to produce his finest work.

The drawings are all done in black and white and reflect the serious and disturbing story about the innocent killing of the Clutter family.
