McCloud, S. (2006). Making comics: Storytelling secrets of comics, manga and graphic novels. New York: Harper Collins. ISBN: 978-0-06-078094-4

Annotation – Illustrated manual to learn underlying concepts in drawing and writing comics, manga and graphic novels.

Media – pencil, pen and paper

Rating for quality of illustration, text and popularity: 5QT and 5QI/3P (1 = low - 5 = high) For serious comics, manga and graphic novel artists the popularity would be beyond 5, but for general use, the overwhelming details of it all may reduce the appeal.

Comments – This is just an amazing book. Many people would not even conceive that comics, manga and graphic novel illustrators/writers have so many techniques working under the images and words on the page.
