Annotation: Chronicling Satrapi’s life after she left Iran for Vienna at the age of 14 and then detailing her return to Iran at the age of 18, this sequel to Persepolis illustrates it is not always easy to go home again, especially when home is not what it once was.

            This sequel to Persepolis is another entertaining and painfully real story of an young women from Iran hoping to assimilate to western culture, make a marriage work and find her way in life. It would be a great addition to a Social Science course or and English class grades 9-12.
